WIP - Sanguinary Priest

I looked at the GW Sanguinary Priests and they look great...but out of stock so GW cancelled my order. So I needed to find an alternative. I started looking at the bits I had and found a combo I really like. It's the legs and sword from the Death Company box (with the X pattern sanded off the right knee). The Apothecary torso and Narcium arm from the Command Squad box, and the winged jump pack from the Sanguinary Guard box. I doubt I'll ever run Sanguinary Guards though I love the models. The bodies will most likely become honor guard with vanguard vets jump packs.

Hobby Update: Painting Escalation League

I am preparing for a painting escalation league which starts this Sunday, June 6th, at the Fantasy Flight Games Event Center. It starts out at 500 points and escalates 250 points every month. There is a campaign and territories and to be able to attack to capture a territory, your army needs to be fully painted. Otherwise, you can defend only.
Ok, so I am a crazy magnet guy. All the arms and backpacks in this assault squad are magnetized as shown on the assault squad sergeant and special weapons marine. The jump packs are magnetized as well.

Myth Buster: Deep Strike

Ok all, everywhere I go, people seem to fear Deep Striking unless they do it in a wide open space. I want to dispel the myth that Deep Striking is too dangerous.

When is it [PROXY] to proxy a [PROXY]?

So what's the craziest proxy you have used? For me, it's this beauty above, the Pop Pod (tm). I don't know what's worse, the guys in my gaming group still giving me crap about using it once a year and a half ago...or my wife. I showed it off to her right after I finished it. Yea, that was one month after we got married. She knew I was a geek, but I soared to new heights with her that day. Heh. She still rolls her eyes about it.

Magnetizing a Baal Predator

Hey all...I've read a lot of magnetizing tutorials, but most seem to gloss over some key parts leaving me frustrated. So I wanted to see if I could do a better job. Please leave comments.

The instructions to assemble a rhino are pretty straight forward and the rhino is arguably one of the easiest vehicles to assemble, so I will skip those parts and just show you the relevant sections for a Baal Predator. NOTE: I start with all the parts trimmed and I do test fittings before I glue any pieces. I used the 1/4" magnets for the sponsons and 1/8" for everything else in this tutorial.
